Wow, we're more than halfway through the first month of 2020 which calls for some re-evaluating. While January 1st is a time that "resolutions" are made for the year, many fall off track before the end of the month. If you haven't abandoned your goals yet, then congratulations! Keep it up! For those that have, don't worry! I like to view January as a month for trial, reflection, and action. Early January is like a trial run of the overly ambitious, drastic changes to daily routines that most try to pursue right off the bat, but are usually unrealistic for maintaining long-term. As mid-to-late January arrives, self-reflecting allows one to tailor a more realistic plan for success and to get the most out of this new year full of possibilities.
At the end of December 2019, I sat down and reflected on my life. I thought about the difference between the person I was at the time and the person I strive to be. I also thought about how I wanted my life to look like by the end of 2020. After answering some questions about myself and what I really want in life, I've felt even more confident and more focused on achieving the goals I've set for the year. Revisiting my answers throughout this month has helped me stay committed to my intentions.
Below are some of the 20 questions I answered that helped me recenter myself and my life. Print this out and tape it to your wall, copy and paste it into a word doc., handwrite your answers, etc. but the only way for these questions to benefit you is by answering them honestly. I hope you find them valuable to you and your life!
