What to Wear to a Winter Wedding

February: The month of love and one of the last months of winter.

Happy Friday! Looking back, I remember starting this blog with the intention to connect with others, inspire people, and promote self-growth and confidence. As I look around me, I am surrounded by so many people with different passions and of different walks of life. Each person in my life has impacted me in different ways and I believe that they have so much to give to this world. I am truly blessed to be in the presence of so many unique individuals. With that being said, I've decided that I'm going to introduce "Feature Friday" on my blog/Instagram. "Feature Friday" is going to be a segment where I will spotlight someone who inspires me and can provide helpful tips, advice, or commentary on fashion, fitness, travel, and life.

This very first "Feature Friday" on Alyssa Ashley is a very special one to me as the following will feature my sister and 2 cousins whose styles I can't help but show off.

While Florida's "winter" is basically summer weather for northerners, last weekend the temperatures dropped to the 40s and the heat was turned all the way up as my family and I danced the night away during one of our family member's wedding reception. A beautiful ceremony followed by a fun, semi-outdoor reception -- picking an outfit that was not only elegant but also warm was crucial.

Below is some winter wedding outfit inspo for guests, featuring what I wore as well as my sister and two cousins.

General Tips for Winter Wedding Guest Outfits:

1. Add a furry jacket or dressy coat to make it more suitable for colder temperatures and the winter season.

2. Dark or metallic colors.

3. Satin or velvet materials as well as embellished details.

4. Thick fabrics

5. Long sleeves

6. Shawls

7. Clutch or small purse

8. Add jewelry

XOXO,

Alyssa Ashley
